For this episode of Sunday Soundtracks, we were back at Bandito's for an afternoon showcase that featured one local artist and two out-of-towners. Richmond's disc image kicked things off with a set of broken beats and abstract arrangements that delivered the goods. Jaime Jimenez from Norfolk was up next, wowing the crowd with an improvisational set of looped electronica, funky vibes, and real keyboard chops. Our headliner, Baltimore's Carillon, brought the tempo down and took us on a meditative journey into calming moods and melodies. He also led us in chanting and breathing exercises before it was all over!
